This five unit residential Project sits in an unusually thin site on the western edge of the Itchimbia Mountain, overlooking Quito’s historic core. Capitalizing on an adjacent public staircase, the building negotiates a 15 meter sectional difference through a fluid terracing section. The section, intentionally blocks the middle ground in order to frame the historic core and also provide privacy to each individual dwelling. The units are accessible through both the upper and lower street.

Este complejo residencial de 5 unidades, se encuentra en una parcela extremadamente delgada, en el costado oeste del monte Itchimbía. El edificio, por medio de un sistema de aterrazado, resuelve una diferencia topográfica de 15 metros de altura. La figura seccional del proyecto enmarca la vista hacia el centro de la ciudad y al mismo tiempo provee de privacidad a cada unidad. Cada loft tiene acceso desde cualquiera de las dos calles, la alta y la baja, ya que el proyecto incorpora una escalera publica existente en el borde norte del solar.
